-
Extra virgin is the highest grade of olive oil, made from pure, cold-pressed olives with no chemicals or heat used in processing. It has the most robust flavor and the highest level of beneficial polyphenols of any olive oil grade.
-
Most commercially produced olive oils are filtered, blended from multiple regions, and processed in ways that strip away flavor and nutrients before they ever reach you. Produce Inspired oils are small-batch, single-origin, harvested in St. Helena in Napa Valley, and milled within hours of leaving the tree. They are bottled unfiltered and untouched — which means more flavor, more nutrients, and more of everything that makes great olive oil exceptional.

California’s Mediterranean climate and rich agricultural heritage make it one of the world’s great olive oil regions — and Napa Valley sits at the heart of it. What you can expect is freshness you can taste. Oils that are bright, alive, and full of character. California extra virgin olive oils are held to some of the strictest quality standards in the world, and ours go further still — small-batch, single-origin, milled within hours of harvest, and bottled with nothing added and nothing taken away.
-
Unfiltered means the oil is not passed through physical filters to remove natural sediment. That sediment — tiny particles of olive fruit —contributes to the oil’s flavor and nutritional value. Immediately after milling, our unfiltered oil is left to rest which allows the sediment to settle and naturally separate from the oil. You still may notice a slight cloudiness or natural settling at the bottom of the bottle, which is completely normal.
-
Polyphenols are powerful plant-based antioxidants that occur naturally in fresh extra-virgin olive oil. They are associated with a wide range of health benefits including cardiovascular support, reduced inflammation, and cellular protection. They are most concentrated in early-harvest, unfiltered oils — and significantly diminished in commercially processed alternatives. Produce Inspired oils are naturally high in polyphenols.
-
Store your oil in a cool, dark place away from heat and direct sunlight — a pantry or cupboard away from the stove is ideal. Avoid storing it near a window or on a counter where it gets light exposure. There is no need to refrigerate it, but you certainly can.
-
All olive oil is perishable, and many guidelines suggest using it within 18 months of harvest, and ideally within 3 months after opening. Our premium-grade, small-batch oils—made from the freshest possible fruit and bottled at peak vitality—have been known to last, when stored properly, for years. Store it well, use it generously after opening, and it will reward you.

The Arbequina is mild and approachable — grassy, herbaceous, and buttery, with a smooth finish. It’s endlessly versatile and great for everyday use. The Italian Blend is medium in intensity with a boldly green, herbaceous character, subtle notes of tropical and stone fruit, and a peppery finish. Both are extraordinary — many Produce Inspired olive oil drizzlers love having both on hand.
-
Both oils are wonderful as finishing oils— drizzled over vegetables, soups, pastas, and salads just before serving or at the end of cooking. The Arbequina’s more mild character also makes it ideal for everyday cooking, but, honestly, we use both for everything. Produce Inspired olive oils are flavor boosters when pan-frying and roasting. They make everything they touch delicious.
